When it comes to design and web pages it really isn't anything goes. There is much to think about and consider.

The color choice is a very big factor. It's not enough to just pick some colors you like and set off building. One thing that should be kept in mind is Geographic's. Who is your targeted audience? Colors mean different things to different people in different parts of the world. Color also stimulates us in different ways. So, what is the message you're trying to give your audience? How do you want them to feel?

Navigation ranks right up there with a color schema. It has to be easy to use and easy to find. And of course, you want it to look good. Backgrounds, fonts, internal and external links, a Site Map, forms, email, etc are all very important aspects of a website. All this is taken care of by me and I'll weave it into the website to make it look professional and attractive.

Loads of pop up or pop under boxes

Auto play music. Allow your visitor to play music only if they choose.
Hit counters of the free variety, which say "you are 27th visitor"
Date and time stamps, unless your website is updated daily or weekly
Busy backgrounds.

Anyone can make a website, but not everyone knows how to do it right. It's what's going on behind the scene that counts. Even if you get your website to look good, it has to act good also. This is very, very, very important. One biggy is search engine optimization, SEO. Without this you just haven't made it to the ballpark. Your site can be the best looking on the internet but not too many people will find it and see the cool stuff you have to offer.

Well that gives you a small idea of what it takes to make a website, but there is so much more. I have been studying website building with all it's complicated elements for a long time and have been making content rich sites since 2006.
